Missions Update |

Missions Trip Update In November we handed out flyers about three possible missions trips. We had eleven responses with ten people signing up that they were interested in going to the orphanage in Mexicali, Mexico. We are looking at going for a week in June and hope to keep the total cost of the trip under $60000. Passports will be needed so if you do not have one you will need to start the process now for it to arrive in time for the trip. (Passport costs are not included in trip cost estimate). We will fly to San Diego and drive about 120 miles to Mexicali. Mexicali is a border town east of San Diego between California and Arizona.
This trip will combine light construction work with helping in orphanages. We have also been asked about doing a Vacation Bible School. Outreaches to the community and church services will be planned. Lodging will be in sleeping bags on the floor in the orphanage and they will provide the meals. Temperatures can get up to 120 degrees during the day but cools off during the evening. Most of the work will be inside the orphanage. The trip is open to anyone 14 years of age and up. Minors must be accompanied by at least one parent. Notarized permission from the other parent will be required. Pray about joining us on this trip. In order to get the best airfare we will need to make reservations as soon as possible. |

Local Missions
We are wanting to get started with local missions outreaches to the community, which would include work projects for individuals needing help. We are also planning to continue to work alongside local missions organizations like the Love Center and Love, INC. |
